I want Google to keep their secrets

When I first started using Google back in the day when there still was an alternative and my mother-in-law wouldn’t have asked the question “If I want to open an internet connection, I have to contact Google, right?” I started using it for the reason that it ignored meta-tags and searched the page content only.
