I want Google to keep their secrets

I want Google to keep their secrets

When I first started using Google back in the day when there still was an alternative and my mother-in-law wouldn’t have asked the question “If I want to open an internet connection, I have to contact Google, right?” I started using it for the reason that it ignored meta-tags and searched the page content only. I knew I would get relevant search results instead of gunk that webmasters served me as lobsters. (Did that make sense to you? I just made it up like that. Good one, eh? Feel free to use it.) Nowadays, everything is...

Experimenting with ad networks

I am currently experimenting few ad networks, even EntreCard is back on the menu as they recently did some changes I wanted to check out. CMF ads visited my sidebar again, but as there still was no advertisers I took it down again. – I don’t think you should ask for advertisers on the ad networks forum to get people advertising, especially as it seems we’re supposed to buy ads of each other which makes little sense to me. Project Wonderful has been hanging on for a while, even though the few pennies I earn doesn’t...

Avatar as a part of your online presence

Avatar as a part of your online presence

If you are serious about your online presence or otherwise just everywhere and want people to recognise you outside your normal circles, avatar is the best way to do this. Stumble again

I was reminded that not everyone uses StumbleUpon yet. Now I have to blog and tell everyone to use StumbleUpon! The thing I love about it, that the tool bar is always there, and you don’t need to go on a website to see popularity lists that often are not even any interest to me, as I’m not always looking for the buzz topics. After SU has collected enough information to pretty much get the idea what you like and don’t like, you rarely hit a page you don’t like. As you notice, I’m talking in the readers point of...

EntreCard

Hmph. Unfortunately, this one is going. I started using it a while ago, and it seemed like it could be worth the trouble at first. People were coming in, adverts were being applied for and I got a lot of drops. However, the thing is, I hoped it would make blogging more social. I mean, I comment on yours, spark your interest to visit mine, then you would comment on my blog or maybe even do a ping back on your post as I inspired you, but no… None of that has happened. What I do get is a lot of drops, from people advertising their own blogs...
